Frequently Asked Questions

Are pets allowed?

We love animals, but Lapis Lazuli is furnished with delicate antiques that pair poorly with paws and tails, so we are unable to host pets. The backyard is also closed to guests.

Is Lapis Lazuli a good fit for travel nurses?

Yes. The house sits minutes from Tyler's medical district, and its quiet rooms make a restful retreat between shifts. We welcome medical professionals on assignment and are happy to discuss extended stays.

I need to sleep during the day. Is Lapis Lazuli a good fit?

Yes. Every bedroom has its own mini-split unit, so each guest can set the temperature to their liking. The rooms are also equipped with blackout curtains and white noise machines.

Do you offer discounts for longer stays?

Yes. Send us a message with your dates and the length of your stay, and we'll put together a rate for you.

What's included in the kitchen?

The kitchen comes stocked with basic pots and pans, cookware, cutlery, a Keurig coffee maker, a full-size oven and a full-size refrigerator.

Where do I park?

Guest parking is on the street directly in front of the house.

Is the house wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately, it is not. Lapis Lazuli is a multistory home built long before modern accessibility standards, with stairs leading up from the street. Guests with limited mobility may find another property better suited to their needs.

Do I have the whole house to myself?

Lapis Lazuli is a duplex. Guests book Lapis Lazuli Major, the front half of the house, which is entirely private. The other half, Lapis Lazuli Minor, is a separate residence with its own entrance, and its occupants have no access to your space.
